We certify that the SEIKO watch detailed on the enclosed Certificate of Guarantee is guaranteed against defects in materials or workmanship for one (1) year worldwide from the date of purchase, providing it has been sold by an authorized SEIKO dealer and by an additional two (2) year guarantee provided by Seiko Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 63 000 797 946). This additional two year guarantee Is only valid for SEIKO watches sold by an authorized SEIKO dealer In Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Islands. Within this period, regulation, adjustment, repair or replacement of parts or movement will be performed without charge except in the case of damage caused by accidents or a lack of care.

To take advantage of the one (1) year worldwide guarantee please present your watch together with A completed valid Certificate of Guarantee to any member of the SEIKO authorized worldwide service network. This network, as of April 1, 2018, is listed at the end of the guarantee booklet. To take advantage of the additional two (2) year guarantee, please present your watch together with a completed valid Certificate of Guarantee to the appointed SEIKO authorized dealer from whom the watch was purchased or please contact any member of the Oceania Seiko authorized service network. The Oceania Seiko authorized service centres are listed in the guarantee booklet. You will need to pay for postage, insurance and shipping, if required.

The following statement applies to sales In Australia only. The Goods come with guarantee that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. The Customer is entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. The Customer is also entitled to have the Goods repaired or replaced if the Goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT POINTS:

  • The benefits to the consumer given by the warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies of the consumer under a law in relation to the goods or services to which the warranty relates.

  • This guarantee covers the watch case, movement, dial and hands and any metal bracelet. It does not cover the glass, battery or bracelets made of a material other than metal, or scratches caused by normal use. Similarly, damage caused by natural disasters, such as earthquakes or floods is not covered.
  • Many Seiko watches are water resistant. Please refer to the section titled water resistant in your guarantee booklet for more information.
  • Our Seiko authorised service network is at your disposal to help you care for your watch during and after the period covered by this guarantee. However, if during the guarantee period anyone other than a member of our authorised worldwide service network tampers with or inadvertently damages your watch, we reserve the right to relinquish all responsibility.
  • We will not honour certificates of guarantee that have been tampered with or altered, nor photocopies of these certificates. Please submit the original.
  • Where a claim is made pursuant to this warranty, all expenses incurred in making the claim are the customers responsibility.
  • The time differences in each country and/or region are subject to change according to the governments of the respective countries or regions. If your watch is a GPS watch, this guarantee does not cover changes to time zones occurring after the date of finalisation of watch specification.
